ZIBUSISO MKHWANAZI, author of Business by Grace, is the co-founder of Avatar Advertising Agency and Executive Chairman of M+N, a network of leading African advertising and marketing agencies employing more than 700 people, with a presence in Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, Lagos, and Lusaka. With over 20 years of experience in the marketing industry, he oversees the overall leadership of the group.
Starting with only R2 000 seed money when he was 17 years old, throughout the years – with many trials, tribulations and triumphs along the way – his entrepreneurial journey has led him to create and grow M+N into the professional powerhouse that is now a R1-billion company. It is the largest independent black-owned agency group in South Africa, and the third largest over all.
Zibusiso is also a recognised Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, an honour that reflects his commitment to improving the state of the world through his work and influence. He has a strong passion for leadership and entrepreneurship, and has shared his insights and expertise at several business schools and platforms, including Yale, Harvard, GIBS, Henley and Wits. Zibusiso’s dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed, with over 20 awards and accolades to his name, and he holds a degree in Global Leadership and Public Policy from Harvard University and a certificate in Foundations for Leadership from Yale University.
